Current stun-bar strategy

  1. 1

    Confirm version 0.11.57863

    The latest verified normal Steam build contains the stun-bar rebalance. Crossplay Beta can use a different compatible version.
  2. 2

    Favor reliable damage pressure

    Paper Cult says damage affects the stun bar more than before. This supports sustained safe damage, not a universal damage-per-second target.
  3. 3

    Use parries for defense without overvaluing the bar gain

    Parries now affect the stun bar less. A successful defensive read still matters, but an old parry-heavy stun plan may build the bar more slowly.
  4. 4

    Re-engage before the slower decay erases progress

    The bar decays more slowly in 0.11, giving more room to reposition. The note does not publish an exact decay delay or rate.
  5. 5

    Verify Ruadh after the victory

    Paper Cult ties Ruadh's unlock to defeating the Banshee. Check the Hero roster after the encounter transition.

What changed across patches

Patch history

  1. Patch: 0.11.57863
    Damage affects the stun bar more, parries affect it less and the bar decays more slowly; an Iseult floating issue was also fixed.
  2. Patch: 0.9.57408
    Fixed Iseult jumping away and never returning, plus another floating or stuck state.
  3. Patch: 0.8.57278
    Ruadh now unlocks after defeating the Banshee; boss block-breaking attacks can be parried.

Encounter-order evidence

A July 26, 2026 all-boss recording labels Iseult at 15:04, after two Act 2 Captain chapters and the Trio Norsemen, then continues into Biome 3. A separate August 1 recording shows a dedicated 2:42 fight.

These sources corroborate that the released game contains the encounter and where it sits in one current run. They do not prove a universal 2:42 target, fixed pre-boss order or exact phase timeline across Heroes, party sizes, difficulties and campaign upgrades.

If Iseult leaves the arena or floats

Paper Cult has already fixed several versions of this behavior. If it happens on the current build:

  1. record the displayed version and Steam branch;
  2. capture whether the session is solo or co-op and who hosts;
  3. preserve the moments before the jump, float or stuck state;
  4. report it as a possible regression with the current run conditions.
What does defeating the Banshee unlock?
Ruadh Stonecrusher. Paper Cult published the unlock requirement in version 0.8.57278.
How does the Banshee stun bar work in patch 0.11?
Damage affects it more, parries affect it less and the bar decays more slowly than before. The official note does not publish exact rates.
Can the Banshee's block-breaking attacks be parried?
The official version 0.8 rule says boss block-breaking attacks can be parried. A complete Iseult-specific move and timing table still needs current original captures.
