Tears of Metal Emblems: Icons, Families, Effects & Synergies

Filter Tears of Metal Emblems by name, family and effect. See official screenshot text, synergy guidance, source status and current-build verification gaps.

Updated Patch: 0.14.58630

Quick summary

  • Catalog v1: three Emblems from one official Clan Hogg selection screenshot.
  • Search by name, trigger or effect; filter by family and effect tag.
  • Every exact value is tied to the screenshot because its game build is not displayed.
  • Current live version checked August 18, 2026: 0.14.58630; the three screenshot values still need an in-game retest on that build.
  • Version 0.11 changed family selection to favor families not yet seen, without guaranteeing a family or order.

How to read the evidence labels

The catalog separates what is visible from what is current-build tested:

Tears of Metal Emblem evidence states
Evidence stateWhat it provesWhat it does not prove
Official Steam mediaThe name, level and visible wording appear in Paper Cult's current store gallery.The screenshot does not display a build number or prove unchanged live behavior.
Official patch notePaper Cult explicitly documented a system change for the named version.It does not enumerate the complete family pool or every value.
Current-build testedA value was reproduced in the public build shown by the guide.No catalog item has this label until a version-visible capture is recorded.

What the three Clan Hogg Emblems show

The screenshot describes Clan Hogg as ancient scholars who study angel apparitions. Its three visible choices demonstrate three different build jobs:

  • Exposing Strike connects a repeatable attack trigger to Fragile and a Finisher Strike payoff;
  • Vortex Block turns a defensive action into grouping and Smite damage;
  • God Rays adds post-battle sustain rather than immediate combat damage.

This is enough to show why a useful build needs a trigger, payoff and failure condition. It is not enough to rank Clan Hogg against every other family. Use the adaptive build planner rather than treating one promotional screenshot as a complete tier list.

How family selection currently works

Paper Cult's version 0.11.57863 notes say campaign family selection now favors families that have not appeared yet instead of being completely random. The note does not publish a probability, pity counter or fixed order. No later official update through version 0.14.58630 announces another family selection change.

That means a route can improve the odds of seeing variety without guaranteeing Clan Hogg or any named family. On the campaign map, use the map-symbol guide to separate a likely Emblem reward from commander, healing and currency opportunities.

Expansion rule for this catalog

New entries require one of the following:

  1. a current-build screenshot with the version, name, family, level and full effect visible;
  2. an official Paper Cult source that exposes the same fields; or
  3. a repeatable current-build test with the capture date and test conditions.

Community posts can identify what to test, but they do not supply exact values on their own. Hidden or unreleased items stay out of the public catalog.

How many Emblems are in Tears of Metal?
Paper Cult's current public sources checked for this page do not enumerate a complete live-build count. Catalog v1 lists only three entries that can be verified together in an official Steam screenshot.
What is the best Tears of Metal Emblem family?
No universal current winner is supported by the evidence here. The useful family depends on the Hero, available triggers, other offers and the failure mode of the run.
Are the exact values on this page current for patch 0.14?
They are exact transcriptions from Paper Cult's current Steam media screenshot, but the screenshot does not show its build. Each card therefore remains a reference until the value is reproduced on version 0.14.58630 or later.
