Quick summary
- Release date: August 14, 2026.
- Main scope: multiplayer synchronization and client-side bug fixes.
- Crossplay: use the Steam Crossplay Beta branch to stay on the compatible older version.
- The announcement includes two August 13 hotfix items for timed effects and enemy movement.
- These are developer change-log claims, not proof that every co-op issue is fixed.
Official version 0.14.58630 changes
| Area | Official change |
|---|---|
| Elite and Boss HP | Fixed HP desynchronizing between clients |
| Threat Level | Fixed a state that could desynchronize between clients |
| Campaign Map | Fixed clients sometimes receiving different maps |
| Triskeles | Fixed Triskeles flying away |
| Boss spawning | Added a tentative fix for bosses briefly spawning in the air on clients |
| Enemy deaths | Fixed mobs sometimes dying in place instead of moving |
The word tentative matters for the boss-spawn item. It is the developer's own scope label, so this archive does not rewrite that line as a guaranteed resolution.
Included August 13 hotfixes
The same announcement records two fixes from the previous hotfix:
- timed player effects or buffs should no longer remain active indefinitely;
- arrows and other damage sources should no longer block some enemies from moving as expected during attacks.
These hotfix lines are separate from the larger August 13 update that added Aodh, HP-based revives and broad networking optimization. Read the latest patch hub for that surrounding update context.
Crossplay status on version 0.14
Paper Cult's announcement says crossplay compatibility is temporarily disabled on this normal version. Steam players who need compatibility with the Windows Store or Game Pass build should use the Steam branch named crossplay, which keeps them on the compatible older version.
That branch choice can change available balance or bug fixes. Compare the version displayed by every player before following a current-build guide. The version mismatch and crossplay guide contains the branch steps and explains the tradeoff.
What this patch does not establish
- It does not state that every desync, crash or connection issue is resolved.
- It does not restore normal-branch crossplay.
- It does not add mid-run saving; Paper Cult said on August 13 that the feature was still in active development.
- It does not provide new Emblem, Charm, Hero or boss balance tables.
